    Responsibilities

    The Investment Customer Support Specialist will provide exceptional internal  customer service for   annuity and insurance products and the associated administrative processes, fulfilling investment operations back office responsibilities that serve to keep the business moving forward.

     

    Essential Functions

    1. Provides best-in-class service to internal customers by delivering consistent, accurate and timely response or resolution to inquiries and concerns.
    2. Process orders, respond to product and policy inquiries and resolve missing or pending sale items to ensure customer satisfaction.
    3. Maintains strict adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirements as well as department policies and procedures.                          

    Department Specific Functions – RIS Austin Operations

    1. Quality Control of sales paperwork for new business.
    2. Data entry of sales for commission reporting.
    3. Work with Compliance Department to ensure quality of sales paperwork.
    4. Monitor and resolve missing and pending documentation items. Work with licensed representatives and insurance carriers to resolve administrative/sales issues.
    5. Assist in all areas of service support as needed.

    Qualifications

    Must meet credit history and criminal background requirements associated with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority registration process, to include FBI fingerprint criminal history, review of credit report, civil litigation, liens, and other public records.

     

    1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
    2. A minimum of one year of customer service experience in an investments or other financial services industry is required for the entry level position. A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for work experience.   Additional experience is required for advanced levels within hierarchy.
    3. Must meet credit history and criminal background requirements associated with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority registration process, to include FBI fingerprint criminal history, review of credit report, civil litigation, liens and other public records.
    4. Licensing requirements will be based on the department and/or level of responsibility. Life and Health Insurance license, Series 6 & 63 preferred.
    5. Must have fundamental computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and menu-driven software.
    6. Capable of effectively communicating information in a professional and confidential manner.
    7. Effective time management and organizational skills.
    8. Ability to work successfully within a team environment.
