    Internship Description:
    The Dallas Design Center (DCC) is a design-focused organization with the goal of creating amazing experiences for our banking customers. This Internship at DCC gives you valuable hands-on experience. Our goal is not only to make your internship exciting and meaningful, but also to nurture multi-skilled digital designers. We want creatives that are passionate. We want designers who think outside the box. Here, you’ll gain real-world knowledge and develop your skills to champion the virtual customer experience. Your ideas and contributions will help our team bring real projects for real people to life at a global scale.
    We’re looking for design thinkers; creatives that can visualize and draw out customer journeys, have a general understanding of the modern design process; self-starters with awareness for the best creative practices. But overall, just be curious, passionate and willing to learn.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Working with internal clients to understand business needs
    • Think creatively and analytically to solve problems
    • Create
      • Experience Design: information architecture, wireframes, research
      • Visual Design: user interface design, illustration, sketching
      • Video: storyboard, basic animation, storytelling
      • Front End Dev: implementation of design page in HTML and CSS
      • Content: narrative UX, web content, video scripts, social, internal and external marketing
    • Collaborate with designers and developers to create a final product
    • Monitor progress and provide updates to other members of the team
    • Learn and maintain a deep understanding of the BBVA brand and design language
    • Informally learn from other members of the team
    • Communicate effectively with other members of the team and internal clients

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

     

    • Enrolled in a BS/BFA in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communications, Motion Media Design, Service Design, or Sound Design
    • Familiarity in 2D software (Sketch, Illustrator and Photoshop) and presentation software (InDesign, Microsoft Office, Apple Keynote)
      • Visual and Experience Design: InVision
      • Video: After Effects, Premiere
      • Front End Development: HTML, CSS
    • Stays relevant on new and emerging design trends and patterns
    • Responds and adapts positively to change and feedback

     

    Advanced Qualifications:

    • Experience collaborating with a team
    • Experience in User Interface (UI), User Experience(UX) or Motion Media Design
    • Able to understand and implement brand guidelines
    • Knowledge and passion for Interaction Design, Service design and/or Front End Development
