    Responsibilities

    This position will handle the more complex Corporate Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and Wealth Management (WMG) loan documentation and closing related functions and will be involved in initial fundings.  Support team by providing a variety of due-diligence and documentation review functions.  Review draft loan documents and address issues/concerns with attorneys, lenders and customers as needed. Remain up to date on all policies, procedures and training.   Identify and address and/or elevate issues and exceptions with Manager.  Ensure funding is in compliance with loan documentation and according to the Bank’s required policies and procedures.  Mentor other staff members within the Funding Desk. Assist with training and procedure updates.  Provide input for process improvements and serve as SME’s for the department.

     

    Able to perform Closer I & II functions plus:

     

    • Identify any loan documentation and lien perfection issues and resolve appropriately.
    • Compare documents and discuss discrepancies with underwriter and loan officer for resolution.
    • Offer alternative solutions for problem resolution making appropriate decisions or escalating when necessary.
    • Serve as mentor to less experienced staff and assist with training, procedures enhancements and knowledge sharing.
    • Participate in projects and act as SME’s for testing and/or special assignments
    • Handle the more complex loan transactions including those with multiple Borrowers/Guarantors/Grantors.
    • Provide assistance with rush requests when needed.
    • Assist other closer’s when workload requires.

    Qualifications

    • Associates degree in Business Administration or an equivalent of 4 years of professional experience in the field.
    • 4 years in Commercial and Industrial loan documentation and closing.
    • 4 years within a financial institution and/or law firm with extensive experience working with Commercial and Industrial credits, specifically documentation and funding.
    • Paralegal experience is a plus.
    • A combination of experience in two or more of these areas–legal, loan closing, loan administration, loan documentation, loan review, audit or compliance.
    • In-depth knowledge of all types of commercial loan documentation, along with extensive knowledge/experience in perfection of liens in accounts receivable, inventory, equipment, vehicles, negotiable securities, aircraft, ship mortgages, etc.
    • In depth knowledge of Real Estate transactions for all types of property including title policies, survey’s, appraisals, etc.
    • In depth knowledge of Letters of Credit, financial covenants, government entities, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, and agricultural.
    • Must be able to identify loan documentation and lien perfection issues and resolve appropriately.
    • Ability to handle stress and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines while providing top quality customer service.
    • Focus on meeting strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to all levels within the organization to include peers and executive management.
